First solar Eclipse in 2016, what should do and what not.

 

 9 March 2016 in the morning at 6.21 am you will wake up with a solar Eclipse the timing of eclipse is 6.21-6.50 Am but the sutaks time of bad effects of grahan will end at 9 Am.


 The speed of time increases during Eclipse so the prefed thing which should be done and what not are given below.


In India, people prefer to remain indoors and avoid cooking or eating during the eclipse period.

Here’s taking a look at the dos and don’ts:

Dos

Eclipse time is best for spiritual work like meditation, Chanting Mantras, any other religious work like Havan puja etc.
Maintain calm. The eclipse is a natural occurrence and will happen on its own.

Take bath after the eclipse is over.

Chant mantras dedicated to the Sun God.

Put blades of dried grass/Darbha or Tulsi in each of the food grain storage containers in your kitchen. This will prevent the food grains from getting affected during the eclipse.

Pregnant women must chant the Santana Gopala Mantra and the others can chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.

Don’ts

Avoiding drinking water.

Do not cook food or eat during grahan.

Do not look at the Sun directly.

Pregnant women must not step out of the house.

Avoid doing important tasks during Grahan.
